10 Good Reasons to Dive Port Vila with Nautilus Scuba
If diving is your game, Vanuatu has it all. The biggest accessible wreck in the
world, amazing reef diving, sunken planes and adrenaline packed pelagic diving.
A mandatory stop for any Vanuatu diving excursion is Port Vila. Enjoy some of
Vanuatu's most diverse diving while relaxing on-shore on Vanuatu time. Sipping
cocktails while watching the sun go down and enjoying the best cuisine in the
South Pacific.
And the best operator to dive with in Port Vila is Nautilus Scuba. The longest
running dive operation in Vanuatu, the best equipment and dive boats and
friendly staff all come together to provide you with a great diving holiday.
Here are a few good reasons for including Nautilus Scuba on your Vanuatu diving
itinerary:
1. The Pacific's most amazing cavern dive
The Cathedral is THE must-do dive while you're in Vanuatu. Enter at 20m through
the sea wall and ascend through a chimney 200m in-land for talk with your dive
buddy.
2. The Tale of Two Planes
Two amazing plane wrecks. A submerged WWII fighter bomber in amazing visibility
and a Qantas sea-plane in the abyss of Port Vila harbour. Both unique dives
with a story behind them.
3. Turtles Galore
With two custom built dive boats we're the operator to dive Port Vila's best
dive, Pauls Rock most frequently. A haven for turtles, dogtooth tuna and some
amazing swim-throughs.
4. The Star
Built by the same builders of the Titanic, the Star of Russia once ruled the
sea trade. An iron hulled three masted square rigger, she was renowned for her
good looks, seaworthiness and speed. Now resting at the bottom of Port Vila
harbour with her hull fully intact she's a great dive with a unique story we'd
love to tell you.
5. Great Wreck Diving
If you're off to dive the President Coolidge we can offer some great wreck
diving as a build up. Dive two island traders sunk especially for that purpose.
One in 26m and the other in 45m. Both great dives with some spectacular marine
life, including the biggest lionfish you will ever see!
6. Amazing Cuisine
With a curious blend of French, Asian and Pacific Flavors, Vanuatu boasts some
great, yet laid back cafes and restaurants.
7. Vanuatu Time
While our dive boats run on the dot every morning and afternoon, you can enjoy
the relaxed atmosphere and slow pace of Port Vila.
8. Roomy Dive Boats
We're the only Port Vila operator to boast two custom built dive boats, with
all the space in the world to ensure your experience above water is a good one!
9. Reefs to Rave About!
The reefs of Mele Bay, Havannah Harbour and Pango Peninsula consistently
provide great diving. Some of the best hard coral you'll see anywhere in the
world, huge schools of fish and the chance to see manta rays, turtles and
pelagics.
10. Big Smiles!
We love taking people diving. Pure and simple. Our dive guides and instructors
are a mixture of indigenous Ni-Vanuatu and expatriate Australians and you can
be sure that they'll work as hard as they can to make sure you have FUN while
you dive with us.
